#288 totoro pixels
First off, there was no post yesterday. Our cat disappeared- she doesn’t really go outside except for the garden and she didn’t come back. So we were up all night worrying and walking in the neighborhood hoping to find her and when it got light outside we decided to do a wider search- and we finally found her, scared and kinda lost in the bushes, not that far away actually. I think most people were getting up when I was going to bed.. In all that commotion and stress and no sleep I really didn’t think about my daily post.
Second, my break was too short. Which is why my posts haven’t been up to par lately (at least not for me). Things haven’t really improved yet. So I’m cutting myself some slack. -…- This is the worst daily project ever. I had such a good track record with my previous ones, finished both without ever skipping a day, but well. Maybe three years is a bit much. When I started this project I wasn’t even sure if I was going to make a 365 out of it -…-
So, what’s this then, you ask? Well.. I’ve been spending my free time on a game and I’ve been enjoying making designs in that game. It seems easy, such a small board to work with, just a few pixels and colors, but it’s not that easy actually when it’s so tiny. I made these three today and they’re not original ideas, obviously, but I really like how they turned out, especially on that sofa. Yes, you can customize furniture in this game. Yes, it’s a little odd. Now you know my secret..
The 5th picture is an old one, not from today. I made the mushroom and the gyroid (odd little brown man thing) posters there.
These are in-game screenshots so they’re screen resolution which is very, very small.
I’ll be making regular drawings again, don’t worry. Although I am wondering if it might be fun to try and make these sort of 8-bit drawings on an iPad. Somehow that seems really challenging..
